Wayne said that he was before the courts five years ago on a robbery charge. “Since then I have turned my life around yuh worship,” he cried.However, the prosecutor opposed bail for the defendants citing the nature, gravity and penalty attached to the offences should they be convicted. Jones also objected to bail on the grounds of the prevalence of the offences in today’s society. He stressed that there is a likelihood the suspects may not attend court if granted pre-trial liberty.Magistrate Mc Lennan subsequently granted the men bail and instructed them to report to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the Kitty Police Station every Friday.Their next court appearance will be on August 3.
